He also studied classical guitarist with David Tannenbaum and Scott Tennant, and jazz theory with Alan Rowe (Stan Kenton Orchestra). Furthermore, Mark toured and performed with guitar legends including Larry Carlton, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), and Dave Mason of Traffic.

Formerly located in Aliso Viejo, Hamrock Music is located in neighboring Laguna Hills, conveniently off the 405 & 5 freeway interchange.

Music Events and Venues in Aliso Viejo

  • One of the greatest music venues in South Orange County, the Soka Performing Arts Center, a 1000-seat concert hall with acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota (who also designed Walt Disney Concert Hall,). The hall has hosted countless music concerts ranging from classical virtuosos The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and The Romeros, to legendary jazz guitarist Calvin Keyes, to the African Guitar Summit.
  • The yearly Aliso Viejo Summer Concert Series in the Town Center Amphitheater are presented by the Aliso Viejo Community Association and have hosted music acts including long time Orange County staple surf, reggae band Common Sense, as well as a healthy dose of tribute bands including Paperback Writer (Beatles Tribute), Lights (Journey Tribute), Elton the Early Years (Elton John Tribute), 80’s cover band Flashback Heart Attack, and Stone Soul (’60s / Motown).
  • The Stadium Brewing Company , also located in Aliso Viejo Town Center, hosts live music on the outdoor patio.
