Because Mark studied with some of the top musicians internationally, including Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney, Elton John, Willy Nelson, Santana), he knows how to coach students to improve quickly and efficiently. He also studied classical guitar with David Tannenbaum and Scott Tennant, and jazz theory with Alan Rowe (Stan Kenton Orchestra). Mark has toured and performed with music legends including Karl Denson (sax player for the Rolling Stones), Larry Carlton, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), and Dave Mason of Traffic.

Hamrock Music is located conveniently off the 405 & 5 freeway interchange right south of Lake Forest. Lessons are also offered online (Skype and Zoom). Many students have been preferring this method as they can easily record the lessons and a running chat dialogue is kept with materials and assignments.
